Kosrae Dive Site: Dwarf Forrest

Enter the water here and suddenly you find yourself in a surreal and alien environment. Looming overhead are magnificent mangroves trees, yet below, hard corals lie amongst their maze of tangled roots. Carefully swim under the trees and within the roots to reveal a light show of piercing sunlight that rivals any laser show created by man.

The corals create incredible ice cream cake cascades that drop down into the depths of the lagoon. The black sand slope around the corals and under the mangroves is typical of any great muck dive so this is a great place to keep an eye out for pipefish feeding, crustaceans and juvenile fish and who knows what else that is waiting to be found in this recently discovered dive site.
